Truston

Back in 1994, three ex-Oracle employees envisioned a market for relation management systems far more sophisticated than available at that time. Under the name of Orca Solutions, a system was introduced that not just managed complex relationships, but also could handle large amounts of data. A combination that proved especially pertinent for the health insurance market.

Recognized leader

During the following years it soon became clear that health insurers needed far more than just IT support for relationship management. In 1999, the name was changed to Truston and the health insurers market had become the main focus.

By that time, Truston engineers had already been heavily involved with the development of the Oracle Health Insurance applications suite (OHI). In turn, that enabled Truston consultants to translate the extensive know-how of the Oracle healthcare IT environment into the functional optimization of OHI at our clients. It is this unique combination of technical background and functional know-how that propelled our business in the healthcare insurance domain and that transformed Truston into a recognized leader.

Functional optimization

While maintaining presence in the development processes around OHI, Truston now focus on helping OHI clients align their systems to the requirements of today’s markets. In many cases, changes are invoked by government laws and regulations. A recent example is the introduction of the Basic Insurance system in The Netherlands. This system now serves as a model for system changes in various parts of the world and allows us to actively export our know-how. Equally important in todays volatile markets is the ability to reduce costs and to introduce new product/service offerings swiftly. This emphasizes the need for functionally optimized IT implementations even more.

Large scale project management

With our involvement in the development and implementation of ICT solutions for health insurers, Truston leverage an experience base of more than ten years. Using a new approach to project management labeled 'Collaboration 2.0', this experience comes to life in large scale projects that touch over two million insured individuals. Collaboration 2.0 entails the use of ‘smart consortia’, that allow Truston to run large scale projects smoothly and finish them on time, within budget.

We at Truston are highly conscious of the fact that our know-how is pivotal for health insurers’ daily operations and their millions of clients. That is why we are passionate about our business, continuously investing in our combined know-how and striving to be a socially responsible organization. We hope you will find us a pleasure to do business with.

To put it simply: we make IT fly!
