IntelliStamp from Inventive Designers (implemented by Truston) adds an extra layer of security to official documents (insurance policies) so they can get send out electronically a in a legal way and be printed by the customer without losing authenticity. Unique is the guarantee that the secured document keeps its legal value upon printing.
Important for the award was the strong business case behind the solution. At the end of every year IAK is obliged by Dutch law to update every policyholder with a new insurance policy. This daunting task was extremely time and resource consuming. In a very short amount of time all policies – representing actual value- had to be processed and signed manually. The combination of an updated health-insurance law and IntelliStamp, IAK is now able to send out documents electronically while guaranteeing customers and third parties authenticity of the contents of the policy, even when the digital version is printed by the customer.
IAK expects 30% of the current 150.000 policyholders to adopt the new digital process. The gain in efficiency of this first adoption is already sufficient to gain back the initial investment for the solution. Next to efficiency of internal processes at IAK, IntelliStamp is even more interesting for their customers; where paper policies used to take longer to arrive, customers now have access to them much sooner. Whenever a paper document was lost a customer had to wait for the new version to arrive by postal mail, with IntelliStamp the customer can just reprint the digital version without losing authenticity.
Finally, IntelliStamp also reduces the carbon footprint of IAK by drastically reducing printing and document transport. This was especially important for the environmentally conscious consumer of today.
